Everybody loves to receive compliments, even guys, but do people know the proper way how to compliment guys? Some people actually don’t. Compliments can make somebody’s day even better, and can also make you feel good about yourself. There is a bunch of different ways that you can compliment a guy the right way, and I have written those down for you. They are below.
You want to make sure that you are not being fake when you compliment men. How would you like it if you found out they were complimenting you, but they didn’t really mean it? You probably wouldn’t, so try not to do it to them. If you really like something about him, tell him that. Don’t search around and just say anything if you don’t really mean it.
Smile when you are giving compliments for men. When a guy sees a girl smile he immediately sees that as a compliment. It makes him feel good about himself. Remember to be sincere and not fake, you want this to be a real smile. So, when complimenting a guy just think of something you like about him and a nice, pretty smile should come of soon after.
Compliment something specific about him. His facial features or an article of clothing are good things to compliments. Compliment something that not many other people will think to compliment. A lot of people will just say “Hey, you look good today” or “You smell good”. Be different. Compliment something that other people wouldn’t take the time to compliment, such as his shoes, or shirt. It makes it seems more personal.
Be sure that you are not rambling on and on because this can cause the guy to become annoyed and not appreciate it as much. Try and keep them as short and specific as possible. This will keep the guys attention and he will appreciate them more. Talk in a friendly voice, and try to put some emotion into it. Otherwise the guy may get bored. Always remember to smile.
When giving compliments for men, try to indirectly compliment him. By this I mean if he orders a strawberry milkshake, and you really love strawberry, let him know by saying that you do. Make sure you smile when you say it too. This makes the guy feel good about his tastes and it is a more creative way of complimenting someone, rather than saying “I like your taste”. See how lame that is? Another great example of this would be if he holds up a shirt that he thinks is cool, try to agree with him, but make sure you are being sincere. If you really don’t think it’s cool, don’t say that it is.
