First dates are probably the most vital of dates because this is where you get to know the person you are dating. A first date should be fun and also involve a lot of talking. Avoid looking around at other people and don’t talk about them either. One, this might be sort of weird to your date and may make you look like a judgmental person. Two, your date might think that they are not interesting enough for you. Try to keep eye contact with your date. You should be constantly thinking about questions to ask your date so that you never run out of anything to talk about. Don’t talk about the waiters or service either because it will make you look like an impatient person.
Never assume that you are going to be splitting the bill. Always keep in the back of your head that you will be paying for the entire thing. If you are a guy, you should tell your date that you will pay. Usually, your date will say that it is alright, she will pay half. Now, you should insist that you will pay the entire thing. If she declines twice allow her to pay for half, but you should pay for the tip. Always wait to ask for the check after you have finished eating and the waiter has cleared the plates. Make sure it is at a good time too and not during the middle of the conversation.
