Toothaches are a pain in the ass. Really, they are. They are painful, annoying, and can even keep you up at night. Easing the toothache pain is not a good solution because you are just getting rid of it for a short period of time. You want toothache pain relief for good and you aren’t going to stand for anything less. The only thing more painful than a toothache is the hole the dentist is going to burn in your wallet for doing something that you can easily do at home.
There are a few things that can give you tooth pain relief quickly to stop the pain for short periods of time. Like I said before, they aren’t full blown cures, but will let you sleep at night, or stop the annoyance for a bit.
Take some pain medication. Tylenol or Advil will do just fine and give you toothache pain relief for a little while. This will buy you some time to prepare for a more permanent solution to your tooth problem.
If you want to cure a toothache you will want to go buy some clove bud, Listerine, and some cotton swabs. Clove buds should be easy to find if you go to a herbal shop. Most pharmacy chains won’t have it, but if you can’t find clove at a herbal shop the stuff at the grocery store will work. It won’t be as good, but it will work for now. First, put some drops of clove bud on the cotton swabs and put it on your toothache. The pain of a toothache may feel as if it’s somewhere it’s not, though, so you are going to want to make sure you get the entire area. It’s going to hurt, but trust me; it will make you feel better later. It really doesn’t hurt for long either, maybe a couple of minutes, nothing too harsh. Now, you are going to want to take a swig of the Listerine you bought earlier. Again, this will sting for a little bit, but you’ll live. Do this once every hour or so. You will notice that the pain is going away. WARNING! Using cloves bud for months will cause permanent nerve damage in your mouth, so if this method does not work after a week it may be time to see a dentist. Yeah, it’s costly, but it’s better than having that nerve damage.
Be sure you are brushing your teeth correctly. You want to keep your mouth and gums healthy because otherwise it the toothache will just return. Using a toothpaste that is specifically for sensitive teeth is another way to get toothache pain relief. You want to apply this toothpaste to the area of the pain, then put a paper towel over the area. Don’t the toothpaste touch your gums for too long. Then you just have another thing to deal with. Let this toothpaste sit on the toothache for around ten minutes. Afterwards, you can rinse out your mouth.
Be sure to brush your teeth every day, and make sure you do it well. I forget what song you are supposed to play in your head while you are brushing your teeth, but I think It’s “happy birthday”.
